Email from @kci.net accounts
If you have an email account at kci.net, you might check your settings at Email Settings. In particular, mail from @kci.net addresses should:
- be sent through server mail.kci.net
- use port 465 or 587 to send
- use authentication (ie. a username and password)
It is expected that mail which is sent from @kci.net addresses, but not sent through our mail system, will fail.
Email failures messages usually (though not always) say what the problem was. You can search to look up what the error message means, or if you need assistance feel free to contact our support. (Please note the time/day and what email addresses you are sending from/to.)
Email to @kci.net accounts
Email delivery problems may be due to technical issues or policy reasons. We try to address technical issues on our end quickly, and frequently identify and explain issues on your end. We will sometimes whitelist a domain to improve general delivery, but otherwise do not usually make policy exceptions (for server misconfiguration, blacklisting, etc.).
Some things you can do to improve email delivery to kci.net accounts are:
- Ensure your mail system follows current standards (matching reverse dns, valid helo hostname, mandatory headers are present, etc.)
- Don’t spam, and don’t be on common email blacklists
- Use dmarc/spf/dkim to authenticate mail from you
Email rejected by kci.net servers generally includes a message indicating the reason. If contacting us, please include that message and details of day/time, sender/recipient addresses and sending server ip address(es) if available.
